Adventure Games – If you love to play outdoor games, this elective is for you! We’ll play kickball, tug-of-war, 9-square, volleyball, can jam, capture the flag, cornhole, and run a fun obstacle course.
Archery – In this class, kids will learn the basics of archery, including technique, aim, and safety. No prior experience is needed.
Balloon Art – Students will receive a pump and balloons specifically designed for twisting. They will learn basic balloon-twisting fundamentals to create many recognizable shapes and figures. They will then be taught a few more advanced techniques for more elaborate designs, including wearables!
Beekeeping – Join us for a hands-on adventure as we explore the bustling world of honeybees and connect it to the loving care of our Good Shepherd in Psalm 23. Children will get an up-close look at beekeeping tools, spend the week building an actual beehive, and extract their own bottle of honey. By learning about a beehive, kids will learn how God, our shepherd, watches over, protects, and guides us, leading us beside still waters and providing everything we need. *Live bees will be present in a sealed observation hive.
Cupcake Decorating – Learn how to decorate cupcakes with basic buttercream techniques. Participants will get to take cupcakes home each night to share with family and friends. *Cupcakes will contain gluten, and frosting will contain dairy. The class will utilize natural food dyes for the frosting, but any additional decorative elements may contain artificial dyes.
Duct Tape Art – Make a water bottle carrier, bracelets, wallet, keychain, bag, Bible cover, and flower pens, all using duct tape.
Groovy Tie-Dye Art – In this class, your child will try various tie-dye techniques on different garments for you to take home by the end of the week. We’ll have a new project each night.
LEGO Adventures – Are you a LEGO Master? Join this fun club and work with a team to complete some epic Lego building challenges! Blindfolds, bridges, races…this club has a little bit of everything! Did we mention that the winning team will win awesome prizes?!
Survival Skills – Adventurers will learn what to do if they get lost, build their own survival and first-aid kit, learn a few simple, but useful knots, build a basic water-resistant shelter, demonstrate how to get attention to be rescued if they are stranded or lost, learn several ways to prepare, start, and maintain a fire, and much more. *Adventurers will take home their own survival/first aid kit, which includes a first aid pouch, band-aids, gauze, kling wrap, fresnel lens, signaling mirror, survival blanket, paracord, whistle, hand sanitizer, and ferro rod.
Udderly Fun Dairy Class – Learn how to milk a goat, store and handle fresh milk properly, and make yogurt, butter, simple cheese, and ice cream. *All milk will be pasteurized before consumption.
