small group leadership training

Riverview is hosting small group leadership training after church (12:30-2:30pm) on August 15 for all current and aspiring small group leaders AND host homes.

At Riverview, small groups are integral to our goal of glorifying God by developing mature followers of Jesus Christ through the power of his Word. We aren’t a church that happens to have small groups; we are a small-group-driven church that prioritizes the community that small groups foster. Our corporate time of worship on Sunday is essential, but often deeper growth takes place in the context of life-on-life relationships. Our small groups are a place to serve, to grow, and to build meaningful friendships around the Word.

Our small groups are open to anyone who wants to participate, and we warmly invite you to join one at any point in the current session. Sermon audio recordings and application guides are available; just click to download. Come to our small groups and experience the encouragement and exhortation of fellow believers!

Do groups offer childcare?
Each small group seeks to serve one another and determine how to best care for young children so that families can participate. Contact your small group leader to find out more information.

Can my kids participate?
Yes, kids ages 12 and up are welcome to participate in small groups.

How big are the groups?
We aim to follow the example of Jesus in his small group ministry of twelve disciples. Groups consistently larger than twelve adults will multiply into more small groups.

There is not a group with a time or location that works for me. What do I do?

Groups are always changing. Let us know where and when works best for you!

Are there groups for men or women only?
Currently, we do not offer men or women only small groups. However, tiny group breakouts are built into our small group structure to allow for more personal discussion within smaller pockets of only men or women.
